Jen’s Desk

Desk ideas for Jen Oakes :

Space is roughly 42″ wide with CMU block walls on the left and right with drywall in back. In order to maximize legroom, L-shaped brackets would be used instead of legs. Instead of the current steel wall rack with moveable shelving, drop shelves by a cable in tension from the ceiling. The right side of the image shows a plan view of the space.

Desk plans for Jen Oakes

I made plans for how the desk would look, and even went into AutoCAD and created templates for the three panels that I wanted the desk to become. I purchased the wood and was storing it in my studio space, and another student left the window open next to my wood. One damp night and during a hard storm, my wood was warped after the dawn rose.
