I finished up my summer internship with Luckett and Farley with a great personal accomplishment; I studied and passed the LEED Exam, becoming the first student LEED Accredited Professional in the Commonwealth of Kentucky! It was quite an honor for me, and I hope to be able to put into practice sustainable design into my future school projects in my senior year and my work beyond my undergraduate studies.
For those who may be unfamiliar with LEED, it is an abbreviation for Leadership in Energy and Enviromental Design, and are standards used to measure and set a bar for sustainable building practice. For more information, check out this link.
